The visual arts program at Woodlawn engages students in making, interpreting, and learning about art in a meaningful way. Students learn skills and concepts of art while growing as individuals.The art curriculum is designed to enrich core classes through integrated themes.
Students experiment with a variety of media and technique. Students are encouraged to think and work like artists; focusing on the creative process and not the end product. Though we do end up with some amazing products!
Art is at the top of Bloom's Taxonomy chart! Everyday students are creating, designing, talking about, questioning their work and defending their art making decisions.
