Hispanic Herritage Month

During the months of September and October all students are focusing on two of  the art element: line & shape.
6th-8th grade students did this in the form of a portrait. Because it is Hispanic heritage month, students were give a stack of famous Hispanic figure to choose from.  First students choose a picture, then created a grid, and lastly draw their person.  If time allowed, student were encouraged to shade or color their drawings.

The concepts that we are focusing on are:
·        Proportions/ grid drawing
·        Elements of Art: line & shape

·        Using the right side of your brain (we turned the picture upside down)
